Thursday 22nd November

Molly's mum popped out and saw Molly - oh my I wish I had captured the welcoming Molly gave her! I think it might soften the blow to her mum of the video of how much Molly enjoys being man handled.

Herbs

  catnip - feline euphoria
Catnip flower.

 Heartease - will be my herbal ally for 2013. I'm looking forward to working with this herb.

Garden

I don't think there is anything better than being able to go out to the garden and pick your own salad for dinner.

Lettuce, spinach, beetroot leaves, and nasturtium leaves. Herb flowers add colour, goodness and flavour to the salad - heartease, nasturtium, calendula, chive flowers and borage which has a slight cucumber burst.

    1. I was a bit worried all you would hear is birds, we have soo many here that they are quite noisy. Even the plumber commented how noisy our place is just with all the critters about LOL
      We will miss Molly she is an awesome cat! PSSST she will get some turkey for dinner tonight as we celebrate Cranberry thanksgiving at our place.

    1. They can be known as Wild Pansy.

      But they are smaller than normal pansy - more the size of a sweet violet.

      Aren't they a fun flower - so happy!

  4. I hope my cats are as happy as that when I put them in the cattery for a short break. Love the salad - are all the small pansies edible?

    1. I know our cattery is not quite like a cats own home - but we try to make it as stress free as possible for them. Hacks me off that I do all the work, clean their litter trays and the cats put on such a show for Brent.

      I've only put heat ease is salads.

  5. I love heartsease. I finally started growing some this year & they've been a mass of blooms. Had pansies too but they didn't do so well. :( Hugs,

    1. Oh Pam Happy Cranberry thanksgiving to you too my friend! I'm just cooking the rice for the stuffing since we are wheat, egg etc free. I make a mean rice stuffing!

      I am soo blessed to have wonderful friends and I count you as one of my treasures. Even tho you know the health journey life has thrown at as - you have stood by and treated me the same, not focusing on it each time we speak but letting me share when I need to. I'm thankful that you share your joy and pride of your children. It is a sign of a true friend to be able to understand a friends sorrow but know that that friend also wants to rejoice with you.

      Now if you were at home I could come to Emma's graduation too!!! And you could of come for tea tonight and had thanksgiving with us and I would of cooked for you!
